Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology or related field. Three years of environmental compliance experience to include hazardous and non-hazardous waste or asbestos management are required. Must possess or obtain the Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor accreditation (TSCA Title II/AHERA and NESHAP) and Asbestos Management Planner accreditation during the probationary period. Must possess the 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification. Must possess a valid Driver's License.

Job Description

This is a professional position with the Department's Asbestos and Industrial Waste Compliance Unit and is responsible for assisting with tasks required to maintain environmental regulatory compliance. The employee will participate in guideline development and implementation; research, interpret and summarize findings, relevant laws and policies; maintain records; identify and assess existing and potential problems and identify possible causes and resolutions.
