Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Geology or another related science field. Must possess a State of Florida Professional Geologist license and a minimum of three to five years of experience in groundwater modeling and/or evaluation of environmental impact, aquifer characterization, geological formations, or stratigraphic profiles are required.

Job Description

Performs technical oversight to a staff of hydrogeologists and/or environmental resources project supervisors with their reviews of complex cleanup cases to render appropriate cleanup decisions. These reviews require the evaluation of environmental impact, aquifer characterization, geological formations, stratigraphic profiles, fate and transport models and statistical methods in furtherance of identifying potential chemical contamination, bacteria and pathogens or salt intrusion that could adversely affect Miami-Dade County’s drinking water supply, public health, and the environment.
