Requirements
High school diploma or GED. One year of experience performing semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks or assisting with maintenance and repairs in any of a variety of the skilled trades is required. Must possess a Driver license. The DTPW classification of DTPW Facilities Repairer performs safety-sensitive functions and is subject to the provisions of the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) drug and alcohol regulations. Preference will be given to applicants in the Transport Workers Union bargaining unit. Proof of education and work experience to meet minimum qualifications must be presented and will be verified.
Job Description
This position requires the ability to read and understand field sketches and maps to locate work assignments. The employee will perform minor maintenance facilities functions with tools and equipment such as painting, replacing lights and plumbing, etc. at the direction of the supervisor and assists the technician in daily activities as instructed.
