Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the renewable energy industry or a related field. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Experience with project finance, complex loan structures, multiple entities, tax equity and construction accounting. Proficiency in accounting software (SAP), financial reporting software (OneStream, Essbase) and advanced MS Excel skills. Expertise and understanding of relevant tax and GAAP regulations, contractual matters and analytical models.

Job Description

Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements. Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Prepare technical accounting memos, research and provide clear guidance on complex accounting standards. Work closely with management team for balance sheet reviews, reporting and monitor variances to budget and prior year. Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies. Assist with process improvement and monitoring around Procure to Pay process, budgeting, reporting and transfer pricing. Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing leadership, guidance, and training as needed.
